These are the skills you master
- You quickly understand what the business in a company is all about
- Precision and an analytical view on everything comes as a second nature
- You can identify and make a business case and are able to articulate this on every management level
- You know why using excel for reporting or ‘applications’ is a hazard that needs to be extinguished
- You can have a completely different conversation with a developer, product owner or senior stakeholder, on the exact same subject because you can adjust your vocabulary accordingly
- You fluently switch between a helicopter view and a detailed mapping specification
- You understand the difference between requirements and a vague idea
- You know how to interpret or create an object model, even based on a shady SQL database
- You can’t help yourself visualizing process flows when asking people what they do or want
- You are able to explain the importance of the correct usage of data and why every change request needs to at least improve data quality for the sake of running a better business
- You have affinity with data strategies and data project management
- Work in a team that is at least as data savvy as yourself
- Work in projects where your analysis skill make an impact for the business
- Have to opportunity to find ways for data to work for the business to make them better overall
- Have the possibility to coach or train less experienced colleagues who like to grow in there analysis capabilities
